Add members to your organization

By default, the person who creates your Mintlify organization has admin access. Add additional members in the Members page of your dashboard. You can invite any number of members to your organization.

Accept an invitation

When an admin invites you to their organization, Mintlify emails an invitation to the address they added on the Members page. Follow these steps to join the team.
1

Open the invitation email

Look for an email from Mintlify with the subject line inviting you to join the organization. Check your spam folder if you do not see it in your inbox.
2

Create or sign in to your Mintlify account

Click the link in the email. If you do not already have a Mintlify account, you’ll be prompted to create one. Use the same email address the invitation was sent to — signing up with a different address means the invitation won’t be attached to your account.New accounts are created with a starter organization of their own. That’s expected — you’ll join the inviting team in the next step.
3

Accept the invitation from the dashboard

Once signed in, open the dashboard and use the Accept organization invitations switcher at the top of the dashboard to accept the pending invitation. After accepting, you’ll have access to the inviting organization’s docs and settings based on the role the admin assigned to you.

Switch between organizations

If you belong to more than one organization (for example, your own starter org plus a team you joined), use the organization switcher in the dashboard to move between them. Each organization has its own projects, members, and settings.

Troubleshooting

  • The invitation link opens a signed-in session for the wrong organization. If you’re already signed in to a personal or different Mintlify account in your browser, open the invitation link in an incognito or private window and sign in with the email address the invitation was sent to.
  • You don’t see the Accept organization invitations switcher. Confirm you signed in with the exact email address the invitation was sent to. If the admin invited a different address (for example, a work email versus a personal one), ask them to resend the invitation to the address on your Mintlify account, or create an account with the invited address.
  • The invitation expired or you deleted the email. Ask an admin of the inviting organization to resend the invitation from the Members page.
